River Description

6.jpg Looking for one of the most beautiful places in the San Juans to go fly fishing. An hour from Montrose you'll take the Big Cimarron Road and there you'll find Beaver Lake, Roudy Reservoir, and Silverjack Lake, as well the the three forks of the Cimarron that feed into the lake, and the Cimarron River as it flows out of Silverjack Reservoir. A great place to camp and fish for Rainbow trout primarily. If you're looking for a Brook Trout fishing experience, try the next road east and drive up the Little Cimarron Road and past the Forest Service Boundary. Jump on in.
