Their Report: Note: The North Fork of the Gunnison is uncrossable and will remain so for a long time. There is a road that takes you a back way to access the Gunnison above the Forks. Give us a call for directions at 970-249-0408

Their Report: Got out there middle of the day, there were a few risers. Fished the film with an emerger pattern trailed by a midge emerger. Later in the day fished streamers. Its great fishing right now! Flows are starting to come up again, so get out there soon.

Taylor River

Their Report: Fishing in the hog trough has picked up considerably. The fish are moving around a lot more, so sight fishing is very important. Still very cold up there, so dress as if it is fifteen below zero out there.

Their Report: This portion of the river is just starting to break up- it's very dangerous to even try to get to due to snow and ice caving in.

Their Report: The fish were spooky but definately feeding the whole time. Started using dries about 2:00 and when the hatch stopped I switched to buggers and slammed them again.
Flies/Methods Used: BWO dries, griffiths gnat, egg, red midges, peacock buggers

Their Report: Flow Update - Flows on the Gunnison will begin ramping down on Thursday and will be around 600-800 over the weekend. The dives below the dam will be on the 18th, 19th, and possibly the 20th. Flows will stay around 350 thru March 27th for rock removal work. (this is subject to change.)
